Social

We're a friendly bunch, and as well as riding together we organise a number of social events, so that partners and families can join in too. Check our Facebook page for the latest news on upcoming events.

Informal socials

We arrange all our informal social events via the Facebook page so all members can contribute. Feel free to join the Facebook group before offically joining the club. We organise meals, pub nights, cinema trips and nights at the Velodrome to watch the racing. Any member is free to post on the group if you have a suggestion for a social event.

Race Events

We organise club and open (public) race events throughout the season, and these are a great way to get involved, even if you're not a racer. Our open events attract a lot of riders from other clubs, so we rely on family members and friends for marshalling and kitchen duty to make them a success. Club events are more informal and social, with lots of support from those who aren't riding. Our final club event of the season is the Cat & Fiddle Hill Climb, which traditionally finishes with lunch at a nearby pub.

Cycling Trips

We have a B&B weekend away each year for members and partners, with easy and challenging rides and sometimes walks. Members also organise trips to ride or watch bike events in the UK and abroad - Facebook is the best place to look out for these.

Annual club dinner

Our formal social event is our annual club dinner for members and partners, held at the end of the season around late November. This is a formal sit down meal, followed by presentation of trophies and awards, an inspiring speech from our President, entertainment and dancing.
